Soluble PACs, not just cranberry
The active compounds in cranberry are proanthocyanidins (PACs), and it’s the soluble A-type form that blocks bacteria from sticking to the bladder wall. Not all cranberry supplements deliver it in meaningful amounts.

UTI Biome Shield® delivers 38mg of DMAC-verified A-type PACs, above the 36mg studied for anti-adhesion. Most cranberry supplements are made from whole-fruit or juice powder, where a 500mg capsule can contain just a few milligrams of usable PACs. PAC content is also hard to verify, so ours is DMAC-tested, the standardized method that specifically measures A-type PACs. The dose on the label is the dose in the capsule. Two products listing the same milligrams of cranberry can deliver very different amounts of what actually works.
Soluble cranberry PAC powders are dark in appearance. If it's pink, it does not contain enough active PACs for blocking E. coli.
