About the Author

Nicole is an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist with a doctorate in human sexuality, practicing in Palo Alto and across California. She earned her MA in clinical counseling from New York University, with additional training through NYU's Transdisciplinary Violence and Trauma Studies Program under psychologist Carol Gilligan.

She is an EMDRIA Certified Therapist and Consultant, an ICEEFT Certified Therapist in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and individuals, and a PSI Certified Maternal Mental Health Therapist. She currently teaches EMDR and traumatology at the Sonoma Psychotherapy Training Institute and has served on the board of the Northern California Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy.

As a visiting scholar at Tel Aviv University, she conducted grant-funded research on women's sexual development and relationships. Her clinical expertise spans trauma, women's health, sexuality, and authenticity in relationships. She provides an LGBTQ+ safe and neurodivergent-affirming space for individuals and couples.
